Fire Alarms

Providing interlinked smoke, heat, and CO alarm systems enables social housing landlords to update the fire safety of their housing stock in line with current government regulations.

Updates in legislation requires all homes in Scotland must have interlinked smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide alarms. Working in close partnership with housing associations, the team of experts have installed thousands of interlinked home alarm systems across the country, compliant to the differing regulations within the UK.

The regulations state that every home must have:

  • one smoke alarm in the living room or the room most used

  • one smoke alarm in every hallway and landing

  • one fire alarm in the kitchen

  • all smoke and fire alarms should be mounted on the ceiling

  • a carbon monoxide detector if there is a carbon-fuelled appliance in the home

Successfully completing smoke alarm installation contracts on behalf of social housing landlords, Devine Energy have improved the compliancy and safety of almost 20,000 homes across the country.
