SBHA - Heating Systems

Over a number of years Devine Energy has delivered a wide range of services on behalf of Scottish Borders Housing Association. One successfully awarded contract required the installation, maintenance, and servicing of gas central heating, solid fuel heating systems, and Quantum high heat retention storage heating.

The Scottish Borders is a large and geographically diverse area, with homes across the region having different heating requirements. Devine Energy, undertook this large-scale heating services contract on behalf of Scottish Borders Housing Association, utilising the vast experience of installation and ongoing maintenance of all types of domestic and commercial heating.

This widespread programme incorporated a variety of heating technologies dependent on the type and location of each property. Devine Energy installed air source heat pumps, upgraded dated gas central heating systems, and where necessary in rural off-gas areas, solid fuel heating systems or Quantum high heat retention storage heating, enabling each property and tenant the benefit of the most appropriate, efficient, and economical heating system.

  • Quantum’s IQ Controller automatically responds to changing weather conditions and heating requirements to maintain ideal room temperature
  • The temperature control feature maintains desired temperature across the feature maintains desired temperature across the home, cutting fuel bills as rooms are not heated to excess
  • Occupants enjoy a constant comfortably warm home while saving money
  • Quantum is designed to use off-peak, low-cost energy efficiently
  • Energy efficient heating means up to 47% cheaper to heat a home
  • Low-income tenants are lifted out of fuel poverty and enjoy an improved quality of life

Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump

  • The Mitsubishi Ecodan can be remotely controlled via smartphone, PC, Mac, or tablet
  • Tenant’s have ultimate control over hot water and heating functionality; the heat pump can be set to holiday mode, frost protect mode, and a seven-day schedule set up
  • Heating functions offer residents the means to control fuel bills and the energy efficiency of their home
  • Inverter-driven heat pump technology harvests free renewable energy from the outdoor air to deliver heating and hot water
  • No gas supply, flues or ventilation required, therefore poses no carbon monoxide risk
  • Improves home safety as well as energy efficiency
